So happy that my party of 4 walked out with bellies stuffed with yummy food and for a reasonable price!! I heard about how famous Ahgassi was in LA, so I knew I had to check out the newly opened branch in NYC! We got the large Ahgassi Combo with 5 meats, and food came right away! The marinated short rib and the brisket were my favorites. The short rib was super tender and well seasoned. The brisket was crispy with just right amounts of fat and went well with just a tad of salt. For the pork meats, I liked the collar and jowl over the belly. Loved how pepper-y the kimchi jiggae soup was with the generous amounts of tofu. The steamed egg was SO fluffy and silken. For banchans, the tofu, fish cake, chives, and onions were frequently refilled for our table. Also gotta give a special shoutout to the extra seafood pancake we ordered! Not only was it packed with ingredients (chives, onions, and squid), but also it was very crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle. The accompanying sauce also had the right amounts of spiciness and salinity. It was clean inside with big tables and good ventilation. Two floors. Staff were polite. They only seated us after everyone showed up but again food came right away. Pacing of the dishes were indeed fast, but it makes sense for them to have a stricter time limit. Prices were great considering the amount of food and drinks we got! I definitely see why its so popular!

Good Korean barbecue that checks all the boxes. Is a bit pricey compared to other store in the area.

The barbecue was delicious, and the staff were friendly. Looking forward to coming back.

This place has the best banchan selection ever!! Quality, ambience and service was 10/10. The meat quality was some of the top. If you want the perfect place to spend the night with friends family or a date - this is it!!

Got the small Ahgassi combo and really liked the last course, the marinated short ribs. Loved the banchan and free refills. The combos come with free steamed egg and a soup of choice (kimchi, soybean paste or soft tofu). However, I do not recommend the corn cheese plate. The cheese already arrives a bit hardened at the top and it was hard to mix/melt it, so you are essentially just eating corn. The small ahgassi combo is enough for 2. I was told the large combo comes with the same amount of meat as if you were to order the meat portions separately. Staff was attentive, helped grill meats.

Came to Ahgassi on a Friday night at @9PM, the wait wasnt too long (~20-30mins). It is a bit pricey compared to other gopchang in town, but totally worth it. Super cute decor with floral theme. Banchan is solid!! So many different varieties, free refill too!! Wasnt lot of meat and the egg tasted burnt, lots of fried rice too (we got the gopchang combo for 2 people, sooo full and ended up to go the fried rice:))

Ahgassi Gopchang took over the old ktown baekjong location. They made the tables bigger, and the seating waaaaaaay more comfortable to dine in. Gone are the days where you have to squish together to fit in a table especially for big groups. I made reservations for a Monday early evening and there was no wait. We ordered the ahgassi combo, and a half order of gopchang for 3 people. We left with our bellies full and our hearts happy. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and personable which I always notice in customer service. I love when they engage in conversation with customers. It makes for a better experience for me. Pleasant human interaction is always a plus. 10/10 I do recommend!
